Sessions and Fees

Oakey Dokeys Pre-School welcomes children from the day they turn 2 years old, up until the start school.

Session fees are £64 per day for 2 year olds, and £44 per day for 3 and 4 year olds.
There is no additional voluntary costs for food, snack, consumables or activities.
Sessions are 8am-3.30pm, term time only.
 
Invoices are sent out at the start of each half term and payment is due within 15 days.
 
Parents/Carers will need to provide a packed lunch for their child when attending Oakey Dokeys Pre-School.

Essex County Council Funding

Oakey Dokeys Pre-School accepts all government FEEE (free early education entitlement) funding from Essex County Council, allowing eligible families to receive up to 15 or 30 hours of free funded childcare per week.
 
All 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of funding per week (universal entitlement), the term after they turn 3 years old.
Working families with children that are over 9 months, 2 years old and 3-4 years old, may be eligible to 30 hours per week (extended entitlement), the term after the reach the eligible age group of 9 months, 2 years or 3 years old.
Some families on lower incomes are eligible to 15 hours per week for 2 year olds.
 
Funding is applied to a full 7.5 hour day of 8am-3.30pm.
If you are entitled to 15 hours per week, your child can attend 2 x full days, and if your child is entitled to 30 hours per week, your child can attend 4 x full days, spaces permitting.

Please be aware that for funding to be applied for the coming term, you must make sure to apply for your child’s eligible funding before the end of the previous term.

Tax-Free childcare is also available for eligible working parents. With Tax-Free Childcare, parents can receive a £2 top up into their childcare account for every £8 they add towards their childcare costs.
 
If your child is eligible for any of the above, please do let us know as we will need to check funding codes before your child starts to ensure they are eligible from the term you wish them to start.
